Assistant Grower

A Fresh Flower Producer in Minnesota has an open position for a graduate with a Horticulture / Floriculture / Agriculture degree. You work with the Grower to daily ensure that all of the crop needs are supplied to ensure the highest gross margin/square foot per crop. The qualified candidate has to do a lot of equipment monitoring, chemical usage and fertilizer calculations. You have to ensure that crop standards are meaningful and met. You should have attention to detail, work well in a diverse team environment and be able to comprehend and follow verbal English instructions.

$11/hr.

Assistant Greenhouse Manager

A Wisconsin based Garden Center is looking for a graduate with a horticulture/agriculture degree interested in learning about the responsibilities of an Assistant Greenhouse Manager. After a short training period the candidate is required to perform all the skilled operations necessary to successfully produce rooted cuttings and plant material in the greenhouse. He/she is responsible for the production goals, product quality, and minimizing expense. This individual must be reliable, innovative, team-oriented and conscientious with a positive work attitude. Very good English language skills are required.

The compensation is $1,500 per month, assistance in finding housing.

Pig Farm – Assistant Research Manager

A Montana based Pig Farm is looking for a qualified candidate do assist in the artificial breeding laboratory. The selected student / graduate will also have the opportunity to learn about the day-to-day activities of an efficient pig producing farm. Experience with livestock and agriculture is preferred.

Mohon maaf dan bantuannya, ini saya kirimkan Job kualifikasi dari kebutuhan Project Manager Landscape untuk proyek tender kami :

Project Manager must be responsible as authorized representative of the CONTRACTOR at Worksite to manage the entire effort for the execution of the Work in the Contract through out the full duration of the Contract, and shall be based in the COMPANY Worksite.

Roles and Responsibilities

The main responsibilities shall include but not limited to:

·         Manage all efforts for the execution of the logistics support services to ensure the high service standard is implemented.

·         To ensure all landscaping and waste handling services are comply with COMPANY’s Environmental standard.

·         Delivery of high standard services for manpower supply and material procurement.

·         To ensure all personnel assigned in the organization are meet or exceed qualification as required by contract and allocation of manpower to ensure all required personnel are fulfilled.

·         Take full initiative in developing local manpower competency.

·         Attend to complaints / grievances of CONTRACTOR’ Personnel and take appropriate action as necessary.

·         To ensure all procedure are in place, updated and implemented and updating all personnel through regular training.

·         Maintain and provides performance reports, accident reports, etc.

 

Qualification

The Project Manager shall have minimum qualification as follow,

·         Bachelor degree (S1) in Landscaping Architect from reputable Institute or University.

·         Must have at least 10 years managerial experience at Landscaping Contractors or Consultant Company and heavily involved in landscaping project for commercial area such as big and famous malls, at least 4 star hotels and well known housing estates.

·         Have good knowledge in landscaping works, waste handling and excellent skill in logistics planning.

·         Understand HSE matter, regulations, code and standards applicable to all work items under this contract.

·         Have excellent skills in; analytical, interpersonal, problem solving, communication, planning and organization.

·         Advanced skill on use of computer aided drawing (CAD) or Landscaping Software (samples of designs that has been made/created must be attached with CV)

·         Have a good understating on Indonesian Labor Law and Industrial Relations

·         Computer literate, good knowledge of Microsoft Office operations

2.       Waktu kerjanya adalah 4 minggu ON dan 4 Minggu Off

Watershed Management Specialist

ICIMOD is a regional knowledge development and learning centre serving the eight regional member countries of the Hindu Kush-Himalayas (HKH) – Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Pakistan. We’re working to develop an economically and environmentally sound mountain ecosystem to improve the living standards of mountain populations – now, and for the future.

Under the overall guidance of the Programme Manager of the Environmental Change and Ecosystem Services (ECES), and direct supervision of the Team Leader of Action Area on ‘Integrated Forest Ecosystem and watershed services’ the specialist is expected to

  • Support the action area team leader in strategic planning, conceptualisation and ongoing calibration of a future regional watershed agenda in light of emerging challenges of climate change; be responsible for developing project proposals and implement regional programmes on integrated watershed management and ecosystem services with the partners in the regional member countries;
  • Evolve innovative methodologies and approaches for participatory soil and water conservation aimed to strengthen both sustenance of production systems and conservation of watershed resources;
  • Develop climate change adaptation programmes using watersheds as functional units within the wider landscape and river basin approaches of ICIMOD programmes; carry out research and knowledge compilation on topics related to integrated watershed management and good practices will be packaged and disseminated. An important task for the incumbent will be to prepare knowledge products aiming at bridging the gap between research, policy and practice;
  • Promote ICIMOD’s knowledge and information networking on integrated watershed management especially on innovative learning related to climate change, watershed management as planning and coordination framework, incentive-based mechanisms, tools and instruments to communicate to a wide range of stakeholders specially focusing on regional decision making bodies and policy-makers; and support the design and implementation of capacity building and networking programmes on integrated watershed management for various stakeholders from the HKH region.

We expect the successful candidate to have a post graduate, preferably a PhD, in natural resource management with at least five years of experience in the field of integrated watershed management, natural resources and common property resources management of which part preferably has been gained in the mountain regions; experience in research, and a documented record of publications in the field of natural resources and integrated watershed management is desirable; experience and knowledge in climate change adaptation related project management, monitoring and evaluation systems; experience in transboundary and livelihoods development context will be an added advantage; excellent communication and English-writing skills; and ability to prepare climate proofed project proposals, progress reports, skills in project planning, negotiation and assessment.

We offer a challenging position in a dynamic organisation with an attractive employment package. The duty station is Kathmandu, Nepal, with frequent travel in the region and internationally.
