Field Trip Guideline – Rural and Agricultural Landscape Course – Master Program

Object: Taman Nasional Gunung Halimun Salak (TNGHS) – National Park of Halimun Salak Mounts

Day and Date: Saturday, 06 January 2018

Departure Meeting Point: Faculty of Agriculture – IPB, Jl Meranti Darmaga Campus, Bogor 16680

Departure Time: 04:30 early morning

Students Participants: Master Students of Landscape Architecture and Seven University Indonesia Japan Initiative (SUIJI) Program: Made Pradnyan Dana Natakusuma, Aisyah Sabilla, Aliya Faiza Fitiyah, Erfin, Sunardi Raharjo, and Naoki Nonomura.

Instructor: Prof. Dr. Hadi Susilo Arifin and Dr Kaswanto

INTERPRETATION OBJECTS:

  1. “101 Paddy field terracing” – agricultural landscape in Sundanese rural in “Desa Wisata Malasari)
  2. Adventure journey of ecotourism in TNGHS: tracking in interpretation line of TNGHS (Cikaniki canopy trail, KLHK resort office, tea walk on Nirmala Tea Estate Plantation 971 ha, Kampong Citalahab Central for homestay resort)

POINTS OF DISCUSSION TASK:

  1. Rural landscape structure, function and dynamic: Sundanese Kampong system,  paddy field terracing, agroforestry landscape, rural organizations and cultural conservation with local wisdom, local knowledge and ethics.
  2. Rural and agricultural landscape services: productive landscape and food security, water resources management, Carbon sequestration, biodiversity conservation, remarkable landscape for tourism.

TOOL AND EQUIPMENT:

  1. Drone (if possible)
  2. Digital video/camera
  3. GPS

FIELD TRIP REPORT:

  1. Write in scientific writing format, whether in Bahasa Indonesia or in English
  2. Each table and figure that’s cited should be completed the source
  3. Report in Words and PDF Versions submission by January 20, 2018 at 24 PM to the email: hsarifin@apps.ipb.ac.id and anto_leonardus@yahoo.com

SPECIAL TASK:
