“Zemi” is a Japanese term, which is meant a discussion forum (from “SEMInar” word) among students and their professor (research supervisor). This habit is implemented also by Prof. Hadi Susilo Arifin, especially after he got back in IPB in order to manage a communication with his students, at least twice a month. During Prof. Hadi Susilo Arifin has not been in IPB, his students have been extending this activity regularly.
Fortunately, Skype and YM help this activity could be held through video conference among Prof. Hadi Susilo Arifin, during attending visiting scholar program in Michigan State University-the US and his students in IPB- Bogor Indonesia, in Hiroshima University and in Okayama University – Japan.
Participants of Zemi-Vi-Con are, as follows:

Arief Prasetyo (Master student, exchange program of IPB/IDEC-Hiroshima University), and Wahyu Catur Adinugroho (Master student, exchange program of IPB/Okayama University).
By this Zemi-Vi-Con, all students have reported their research progress and attainment, the problem finding in the research field and the solution, also discussing for the next planning).
This Zemi-Vi-Con has proved that’s border-less era right now. This method can raising the intense of relationships between student and his adviser/supervisor. For the future, Vi-Con could be implemented by IPB such as for conducting Colloquium, Seminar, and Thesis Examination.
